The recent disasters in Japan have prompted Gabby (of the Audubon Park Community Market) and Miriam to host an art auction fundraiser at Stardust next Thursday, the 24th of March, at 7 pm. In addition to the auction, there will also be a raffle and a canned food drive, along with donation jars for food and drink. Fat American will be offering limited-edition t-shirts at the fundraiser. All funds raised will be going to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Fund.
If you are a local Orlando-area business or artisan and would like to donate raffle prizes such as gift certificates or craft pieces, please send a message to Gabby or Miriam to arrange for your donation. If you have artwork you would like to donate for the cause, bring your work into Stardust by the evening of the 23rd, next Wednesday. If you have raffle items you’d like to donate, please bring those items in by that time as well.
Please view the Facebook invite for the event, and RSVP if you have a Facebook account. If you have any further questions about the fundraiser, food drive or about what kind of art or raffle items you can donate, contact Gabby or Miriam.
