Bastille Day Masquerade Party, 14 July 2011

In the spirit of Bastille Day, as well as in the spirit of doing something we don’t normally get to do, Stardust will be hosting a masquerade party in homage to the decadence of the aristocrats whose world of excess and debauchery was set aflame by the protesting masses.

DJ Sleepy Hippie will be playing some choice musical selections for the evening, and we’ll be clearing space in our big room for some Thursday night dance party action. So dance like you don’t have to work in the morning. Peep the event page on Facebook.

This is a free event, so bring a mask to wear or paint your face creatively (mime make-up anyone?). It’ll be like that scene from Labyrinth, except without David Bowie or Jennifer Connelly, and it’ll be in Stardust, so it actually won’t be much like that scene from Labyrinth. Except for the masks.

We’ll be starting at 9 pm in the evening and continuing with the gilded celebrations until just before midnight. This is an all-ages event, so we hope to see you there.
